I’ve found balance lacking in my life. There is so much I want to do; for others, for my health, for my writing, for my spirituality…the list goes on and on. So, I’ve just had to come to the realization that I can’t do it all. I can’t go to every book event in Atlanta. I can’t sit at my computer and write every second and forget about the world around me. I’m coming back around to my priorities. Yes, I can write. Yes, I can put myself out there for family and friends. Yes, I can learn more about the great Creator of the universe. But, not to the point that I let it all stress me out. For when I get to this point, I’m no good to anyone (including myself). So, I’ve come to understand the need for downtime. It can be a walk to the park near our house. A visit to the library. A nice trip near or far. Yes, even times of retail therapy. I know I’m not the only one to walk this tightrope we call life. We all face our challenges with balancing our demanding schedules. So, here’s to balance on this Monday. Take a deep breath, dive in, we can do this!
